how to url rewrite in mangento?

Step 1 :- Catalog Menu -> URL Rewrite Management

Step 2 :- Add URL Rewrite

Step 3 :- And select the custom Options in Dropdown
Step 4 :-
1) ID Path :- Unique Identifier for rewrite.
2) Reuest Path :- Add Url you want to redriect
3) Target Path :- Add the Url you want like the Request path Directed
4) Redirect :- Select the Options Permanebt As 302
5) Description :- description field optional

Step 5:- Click on Save button. and check redirect is working correctly.
